POTUS then reversed course in May 2022 by endorsing Massie for re-election and praising him as a “conservative warrior” who staunchly defends the Constitution. However, the brief period of support did not last long as Trump again turned against Massie in 2025, starting a years-long crusade against the congressman and backing his primary challenger in the 2026 midterm primary.

Massie has been one of the few lawmakers who has taken these promises seriously, and none of his colleagues from either party has defended the Constitution as fiercely. His voting record proves it; during his 14 years in Congress, he has accrued a lifetime score in The New American’s Freedom Index of 99 percent. That’s even better than Ron Paul’s track record. The libertarian icon amassed a lifetime score of 97 percent. His son, Rand Paul, another constitutional stalwart (and Massie ally), is riding a 96-percent freedom score. As Ron Paul noted Wednesday, in Massie “they’ve taken somebody who had the best voting record [and] turned him into a monster.”

Massie is the kind of ideal legislator the Founders prescribed. He has fought to bring about some semblance of fiscal sanity on Capitol Hill. Washington — The United States has reached a notable fiscal milestone.

Debt held by the public has surpassed the size of the national economy for the first time since World War II. As of late April 2026, debt held by the public stood at approximately $31.27 trillion, compared with nominal GDP of $31.22 trillion for the 12-month period ending March 2026. This pushed the debt-to-GDP ratio for publicly held debt above 100 percent. Total gross federal debt has climbed beyond $31 trillion. According to the Congressional Budget Office (CBO), debt held by the public is projected to rise from 101 percent of GDP in 2026 to 120 percent by 2036.

But as the graph shows, we are approaching the end game of the deficit.

By mid-century the deficit will reach 9.1% of GDP, based on the latest long-term projections by the Congressional Budget Office. We are already borrowing money to pay the interest, and are thus paying interest on interest (compound interest).

The acknowledged public debt, now at $39 trillion, is projected to be $170 trillion or 175% of GDP by 2056. This does not include the huge unfunded liabilities of Social Security and Medicare. With such a burden, the financial system cannot function.

Almost Half Of Americans Anxious About Their Personal Finances, According To Poll

The Iran war is just the latest event over the last two decades which has chipped away at American's finances.

The mortgage-backed derivatives crisis of 2008 and the Covid plandemic of 2020 have greatly impacted U.S. debt-to-GDP ratios.

A poll conducted by YouGov for CBS News surveyed 2,064 people between May 13 to 15 and found that nearly half them have anxiety over their personal finances. With margin of error of 2.7 percent, it is believed to be a close representation of America as a whole.

“In the CBS News/YouGov poll, 44 percent of respondents said they see their ‘own personal financial and economic situation’ as either ‘fairly bad’ or ‘very bad,’ while 49 percent said they see their personal financial and economic situation as ‘very good’ or ‘fairly good.’ Seven percent of respondents said they are unsure about their personal financial and economic situation,” The Hill said, reporting on the poll.

The economic impact is also affecting political sentiment going into the midterm elections.

Tucker chimed in, saying it “seems like the more you exhibit loyalty to Israel the closer you are to the White House political operation.”

This is a Segment from a TV Episode; 'The District, To Serve and Protect', S2 E5, of a Congressional hearing scene as the setting from the discovery of a skeletonized body of a 5-year-old boy from an eight year old missing-persons case as the character Mannion works on changing the general lack of interest attitude of government and society toward child abuse and murder.

Donald Trump admits he "likes bad people" (as long as they are kissing--or pretending to kiss--his ass). And now we know why, after his initial promises to release, and then his subsequent coverup of the Epstein files that actually finally took an act of Congress (surprisingly) to force his DOJ to release, with still the abominable acts of the offender's (his apparent friends and advisors) names redacted, and with what is only a small portion of the reported total files and evidence still being hidden.

Psychopathy

The clinical psychiatric term for individuals who lack empathy and compassion for the suffering of others is 'psychopathy' or 'psychopathic'. People who expess these traits are often considered to have anti-social and/or outgoing Narcissistic Personality Disorder (ASPD/NPD).

These conditions are characterized by either an outsized sense of ego, even meglomania, or a diminished one, along with impaired empathy, compassion, remorse, and a tendency toward deceit, deception, manipulative, or harmful behaviors.

Narcissistic personality disorder is characterized by self-absorption, grandiosity, exploitation of others, and lack of empathy. People with that disorder may switch from an overt form, mainly with grandiosity, to a covert presentation of hypersensitivity and/or imposed dependence of others.

Empathy represents a key point in detecting people affected by narcissistic personality disorder, because even if it is described as reduced, it plays a fundamental role in exploitation and manipulation of others.

Individuals with narcissistic personality disorder can be competent and high-functioning with professional and social success. Others can have problems functioning, low self-confidence and difficulty tolerating criticism or defeat.

In extreme cases, those exhibiting these traits may alternate between these states, and may become very unpredictable and unstable, especially under stress.

Psychological attacks are real, and the concept of menticide dates to a Dutch psychologist who studied how totalitarian governments control the thoughts of their populations. Joost Meerloo witnessed and studied the way Josef Stalin, Vladimir Lenin, and Mao Zedong used the insights from Pavlov’s experiments on dogs against people. His most famous work is called The Rape of the Mind.

“Joost was a trained psychiatrist and got involved with first the resistance and then the Allies in the debriefing of Nazi officials and members of the SS,” Sexton tells Peter Schweizer and Eric Eggers on the most recent episode of The Drill Down. “He realized that something of a psychiatric pandemic had unfolded in Nazi Germany where you had these seemingly normal people willing to do the most heinous things, but also to believe obvious lies.”

Sexton has just published a new book, Manufacturing Delusion: How the Left Uses Brainwashing, Indoctrination, and Propaganda Against You that applies Meerloo’s insights to modern-day techniques used in China, Russia, North Korea, Cuba, and other totalitarian regimes. But the political left in the United States uses these techniques, too. Sexton talks about three specific areas – COVID, trans ideology, fear over climate change, and Black Live Matter-inspired “struggle sessions.”

“Brainwashing, cults, thought reform, menticide – they’re all variations on a theme, different approaches to get you to the same place, which is to be able to control the thoughts, control the mind of another human being,” he says in explaining the book.
